Product Description
Here is a kit to help you easily build a small magracing chassis to fit your existing 1/32 scale, short and narrow model race car body. Fits cars such as Porsche 908/2, Porsche 910, Porsche 917, Chaparral 2C, Chaparral 2F, Lola T-70 Mk II, and Ferrari 512S Berlinetta. Kit requires other parts to complete. CK1 is similar to CK6 with the following significant differences:
1. CK6 is slightly thinner and narrower when completely built, so it accommocates narrower bodies wth less modification to the interior of the bodies.
2. CK6 has a battery compartment that must be loaded from the top which requires removal of the body.
3. CK6 uses bronze strip for battery contacts instead of magnets.
4. CK6 can navigate slightly tighter corners.
5. CK6 has a maximum wheelbase of 3.30" compared to 3.40" for CK1.
6. CK6 has an adjustable motor mount which makes meshing gears easy.
7. CK6 uses 3/32" diameter front & rear axles instead of 1/16" front and 2mm rear.
Features of CK1 include the following
Adjustable wheelbase from 2.80” to 3.40” compared to standard chassis with fixed wheelbase of 3.0”. If you need a longer wheelbase you should consider Chassis Kit CK2 or CK5.
Only 1.85” wide compared to original chassis which is 2.14” wide.
Frontend design incorporates 1 degree of positive toe and 2 degrees of negative camber which greatly improves handling and lane changing.
Shorter front suspension beams allow for narrower front track compared to original magracer.
Acclommodates shorter rear track too !
Thinner profile fits more bodies with cockpit intact compared to original magracer.
Battery compartment is loaded from the bottom which does not require removal of the body.
Will NOT accommodate protected 10440 rechargable battery.
Use with steering coil, printed circuit board, battery, motor, gears, axles, wheels, and some of the screws, nuts and magnets of a standard magracing chassis which you already have. Designed to be used with 1/16" diameter front stub axles and 2mm diameter rear axle of original magracer.
Purchase a few other screws and magnets separately from MagRacingUnlimited, or others.
