HO/OO Large Coal Hopper T&F

This product is based off of the larger Coal Hoppers featured frequently in the Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends television series.  A notable appearance is in the season 2 episode "Thomas, Percy, and the Coal" also known as "Double Trouble" in the United States.  The actual height of the hopper relative to the rails varies throughout the series.  The Bachmann version of this product includes small platforms under the legs of the hopper to raise it up to be level with the top of the roadbed of Bachmann E-Z track.  The product includes a small slat to slide at into a slot on the chute of the hopper to hold the coal load (or whatever material you choose) in the hopper until you pull it out to drop the coal load into waiting trucks.
