Product Description
Be stylish, mathematical, and fierce with this spiky bracelet made of tessellating Kershner pentagons.

Sizing: The oval shape of this delicate cuff bracelet allows it to go around your wrist from the side and then flex to fit snugly.  Use the selector in the upper right to choose your size: Small (very petite), Medium (average women), or Large (average men).

Materials: Choose a premium Metal for a fancy, high-quality bracelet. Choose a colorful Plastic for a fun, lightweight bracelet or to test your size.

Style: This bracelet is also available in a thicker Double style and a chunkier Bold style.

Mathematics: The pentagons in this bracelet are part of the sixth known family of tessellating pentagons, discovered by mathematician Richard Kershner in 1968 and published in the American Mathematical Monthly article On Paving the Plane. There are only fifteen known types of tessellating pentagon families, the most recent of which was discovered in 2015; you can read about them all on Wikipedia's Pentagonal Tiling page.

Design: This bracelet was designed by mathgrrl with OpenSCAD, Rhino, and Grasshopper. For more information, see the 3D-Printable Pentagon Tessellations post on Hacktastic.
