This is a model of the rat hippocampus depicting only the neural layers in this region. It consists of the Dentate Gyrus, CA3, CA2 and CA1. The model is printed in the ratio 10:1, which means that 1cm in the model corresponds roughly to 1mm in the rat hippocampus.
Dentate Gyrus is one element of the model and can be separated from CA3, CA2 and CA1. The model helps a lot to understand how the layers are interwoven in space.
