<h2>3D Printed NFT of Oxygenated Hemoglobin (Hb) created from x-ray crystallography dataset 1HHO</h2>
This scientific model visualizes the Dimer structure of Hemoglobin coloring the alpha-helices of both Alpha-chains light red and the beta-chain helices soft-red. The coils of the protein are colored white. Inside each Alpha and Beta chain is a HEME Group, a pyloric ring of carbon-nitrogen atoms. Locked into the core of each HEME group is a single Iron atom. Bond to the open side of the Iron atom are Oxygen molecules (red). These bonds are stabilized by a series of Histidine residues throughout the protein (colored by to see their Nitrogen atoms) that lock onto the Oxygen molecules further stabilizing Oxygen binding.
