Cobra Artillery Radar on MAN Kat 1 15to gl 1/285

The Cobra (COunter Battery RAdar) radar was a trilateral developement from Germany, Great Britain and France. The Phased Array Radar could aquire enemy gun-, motar- and rocket fire. Up to 40 different firepositions could be aquired at the same time. The German Cobra was mounted on a MAN Kat 15to gl 8x8 truck. One Cobra systen was deliverd to the Ukraine and two to Turkey.  The set contains one Cobra in working and one in traveling configuration.

Das Cobra  (COunter Battery RAdar) Artillerieortungsradar ist eine trilaterale Entwicklung Deutschlands, Groß Britanniens und Frankreichs. Das Cobra System dient zur Aufklärung feindlichen Geschütz-, Mörser- und Raketenfeuers. Die Flugbahnen von bis zu 40 Geschossen können gleichzeitig zu den entsprechenden Feuerstellungen verfolgt werden. Das deutsche Crobra Radar ist auf einem MAN Kat 1 15to gl 8x8 Lastwagen montiert. Neben den drei Hauptnutzerstaaten erhielt die Ukraine ein und die Türkei zwei Systeme. Das Set beinhaltet ein aktives Radar und eines in Transportposition.
