Product Description
This is a replica of the Hydrographic Station disk used by the US Coast & Geodetic Survey from c1919 to c1940.This type of disk was set during hydrographic operations; surveys performed to measure the water’s depth. The center mark is a large circle, and in some cases had an additional recessed point at the marks center. The initial marks of this type referenced the "SUPERINTENDENT", after 1921 this was changed to "DIRECTOR"
