Product Description
This project was all about testing the capabilities of 3D-printing. A number of spheres connected to each other by ball joints are all printed in one go. When finished the caterpillar is able to wriggle through your fingers - a great fidgeting toy. The perforated spheres are designed to save material and building time.
This design is the smaller brother of a university project design at National University of Singapore (mechanical caterpillar big) which was exhibited at Innovfest Unbound 2017 at Singapore's Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre.
