In short, this necklace piece is a FUN-SPIRITED protest of the removal of the Native American woman from the Land O' Lakes butter brand logo. You can wear it either because you're Native American yourself and have especially strong personal feelings about that 'insensitively oversensitive' corporate decision, or (as far as I'm concerned)  just because you for one are not offended by seeing respectful representations of Native Americans on everyday wholesome product labeling as a perfectly normal part of American living-----which is all that Mia (the name of this fictional but real-tradition-representing character) ever was.
