Sony Betamax Loading/Timing Gear - 3-684-163-01

This gear is part of the loading assembly on many Sony brand Betamax Videocassette Recorders, part # 3-684-163-01.  This part was designed to repair model SL-HF900 for a customer, but will fit many other models with chassis 711B2, Including, but not limited to:

SL-100
SL-HF150
SL-HF300
SL-HF450
SL-HF600
SL-HF900
SL-HFR30
SL-HFR60
SL-F30
SL-F60

The usual failure of the original gear is a missing tooth which throws the carriage out of whack and may damage further parts.

A service manual is required for this repair.  The gear MUST be installed AND TIMED/PHASED with the rest of the loading mechanism or serious damage may occur.  This is not a part for a novice to install and I am not responsible for damage caused by improper use or installation of this gear.  It is HIGHLY recommended that the Cassette Insertion and 'Cassette Down' leaf switches are cleaned and the un-thread sensor spring (located on the pivoting SUPPLY end sensor) be checked following gear replacement and PRIOR to power-up.

NOTE:  This gear MAY require additional trimming and finishing to fit properly, due to slight variations in the printing process.
