The 600-cell, or icosaplex, is the 4D analog of the icosahedron. It has 120 vertices, 600 tetrahedral cells, 1200 triangular faces, and in this wireframe partial vertex-centered perspective projection into 3D, only the inner 606 of the total of 720 edges are shown. This can also be considered a partial Shlegel diagram of the 600-cell. The 600-cell is a convex 4 dimensional regular polytope, with Schlafli symbol {3,3,5}. That means: triangular faces, 3 around each vertex to make a tetrahedron, and 5 tetrahedra around each vertex in 4D). The partial view makes the inner construction more visible, and the outer form is that of a dodecahedron. (The innermost and outermost layer of cells form an icosahedron in the vertex centered projection.) Ive made a puzzle of the inner 115 tettrahedra, Tettricks, also on Shapeways.
