Product Description
These are a pair of 1:8 scale BTH A8 magnetos as used on the Wolseley Viper and Hispano-Suiza 8 aero engines. This specific version is intended for use on the 1:8 Hispano-Suiza engine on sale here.
They are BTH A8 magnetos and only the distributor caps differ from those on the Wolseley Viper model. The two variants were interchangable, and from photographs that I have seen were intermixed at the time. However, the distributor caps on these versions are those shown in the Hispoano-Suiza maintenance manuals.
The slight difference between the distributor caps in the picture is because one is an A8 and the other an A8S which incorporated the cockpit magneto starting mechanism.
