Product Description
SV40 is a polyoma virus found in humans and monkeys. Like other polyoma viruses, it is a DNA virus that can cause tumors in its hosts. SV40 was discovered when a large percent of US citizens were given a polio vaccine contaminated with the SV40. The virus suppresses tumor suppressor p53 activity in humans.
