Product Description
These four switch lanterns are designed to add visual interest to your yard or mainline turnouts. They can accomodate a "pico"-sized LED. The stem is over an inch long to sit inside the switch stand base without the risk of falling out. (I trimmed the one in the sample photo). Holes in the stem are to help push the LED up into the lantern. Tolerances should be enough to allow you to manually rotate them as you line switches, but I haven't made any attempt to figure out how to link them to a switch machine. Be sure to paint the stem with a good opaque coat of black to avoid light shining through as you can see in my version. I made the lenses from Micro Crystal-Clear and then gave them a wash of the same red or green used on the targets. A portion of all proceeds benefits the Anthracite Railroads Historical Society.
