Geometry:
Insanity Double Plus is a close relative of my previous "Edge of Insanity" and "Insanity Plus" puzzles. In fact, Insanity Double Plus has the same three extra axes as Insanity Plus, but those axes now have full four way symmetry. This creates several more parts, and should make the puzzle much harder to solve.
Other Items Needed:
Dye: If you want the puzzle to be black, you can save money by dyeing the pieces yourself with a nylon dye such as RIT or Dylon. Or Shapeways can dye the parts for you at an additional cost.
Stickers: Template available in the instructions forum. If you want professionally cut stickers, I recommend Oliver’s Stickers.
Screws & Springs: The puzzle snaps together, so no screws or springs are needed.
Degree of Difficulty:
Assembly: Moderately easy assembly.
Solving: Very difficult to solve.
Playability:
Insanity Plus turns very easily, but the mechanism is floppy due to so many parts. Definitely not a speed-cube.
Have fun!
