Product Description
How loud can a razor possibly be?  The Bullhorn 218 Safety Razor head was designed to be as loud as possible, while still maintaining a comfortable form factor and a competitive price.

The closed bar design provides a close, comfortable shave on the aggressive side of neutral.  A sound chamber under the bar acts as a passive amplifier to make the sound of the razor louder and deeper.

This razor head requires a standard-thread safety razor handle, a 20mm M5 metric flat-head machine screw, and a sense of humor.  Imperial parts will not work, the angle of the machine head screws are different.   Unfortunately Shapeways only provides 3D printing, so the hardware cannot be packaged with the razor.  However, these parts are readily available at hardware stores and industrial supply centers.  Please test the machine screw with your existing handle before your purchase to insure that it fits correctly.

The head is available in white surgical-grade nylon; but for best performance, the grey nylon+aluminium blend is recommended.  The grey material is heavier, smoother and stronger than the white.

When the razor head arrives, you will notice that the parts are held together with an interlocking pin.  You will need to remove the pin to separate the parts.  Use of the pin makes it easier to handle, and therefore reduces the total cost of the unit.

In December 2017, the design was modified to reduce deformation when the razor is overtightened.
