EDITIONS ARE CURRENTLY AVAILABLE
This 4-inch tall 3D-print is a limited edition of a larger wood carving I did in honor of Colin Kaepernick's activism. Proceeds from your order will benefit his charity.
The Edition
I'm capping this edition at the number of years since the American slave trade began. I'll update the available editions above, then de-list when 401 orders are placed.
The Breakdown
For each edition you order, I'll donate $10 to Kaepernick's non-profit. The remainder pays for materials - each full-color print costs $30, solid black prints cost $25 ea.
The Benefit
Know Your Rights Camp was founded by Colin Kaepernick and a team of defense attourneys specializing in the legal rights of Black and Brown communities with a stated mission of furthering public education. If this edition sells out, I'll make a $4,010 donation to this cause.
The Details
With the fist on his uniform representing Black power, the back of his uniform references a moment in Kaepernick's activism when his "Kunta Kinte" shirt made an out-sized impact at an NFL work out.
The Original
I carved an 18-inch tall sculpture in wood and polymer clay, then 3D-scanned it to create a 3D-model for this edition (his pig sidekick, tattoos & moving parts are not part of this edition). I wanted to make this edition available to advance Kaepernick's activism with an alternative fundraising medium. Below is a video detailing how I created the original sculpture.
