Product Description
The 75mm/50 was a French anti-aircraft gun of the 1920s. The gun was a shortened version of the 75mm/62.5 Model 1908 anti-torpedoboat weapon used on the Danton class, and given a high-angle mounting to elevate further up. The differences between the Model 1922, Model 1924 and Model 1927 weapons were very subtle. The 75mm/50 was used on France's only aircraft carrier of WW2, Béarn; the Bretagne class battleships; cruisers of the Duguay-Trouin and Duquesne class, in addition to the training cruiser Jeanne D'Arc and the heavy cruiser Suffren (other members of this class were equipped with the 90mm/50 gun); the Chacal and Bourrasque class destroyers.
