Coral skeleton egg cup

This design was inspired by the random, but stil regular structures of corals. Nature is the best designer we have, and an eternal source of inspiration.

This torus is intended as an egg cup. The white strong and flexible material works great for this purpose, as the rough surface makes the egg stand very stable. The material can however be deformed if you place an egg directly in the egg cup from boling water. The white strong and flexible plastic can take more heat than the fingers of ordinary mortals, so if you can hold the egg at all, placing it in the egg cup should be no problem.

This product can also be printed in various metals. With the metal versions, the temperature is no problem, but the lower friction of the metal against the egg means it will be a little less stable.
