Product Description
This unique pendant, which looks like a flower but is actually a coral, was inspired by a drawing of Leptocyathus by Prof. Ernst Haeckel. Leptocyathus is a member of the Hexacoralla, a group of star corals with hexagonal symmetry that are important coral reef builders. The soft-bodied Hexacoralla live singly or in colonies and secrete a hard calcite skeleton. Although the star coral Leptocyathus is now extinct, you can still wear a rendition of its fossilized skeleton through the magic of 3D-printing.
The pendant is slightly larger than 3 cm in diameter.
If you would like to purchase a chain along with this pendant, please click on the "ADD A CHAIN" button below the material dropdown. The bail loop for attaching the chain has an internal diameter of 4.9mm in the longest dimension and 2.7mm in the shortest.
