Hood Door Handles

These are hood door handles for various General Electric early switchers such as the 44 ton locomotive.  They have a 0.145" square end on the inside that may be used for attachment of a lever or bell crank for working latches.  The handle mounts through the door panel using a 0.215" hole.  A center mark for a 2-56 mounting screw is on the end of the handle.

If you intend to use the handles for detail only, plastic is good enough.  If you want the handles to be useful as a functional item, use bronze or steel.  Steel will have print lines, the bronze look best.
