Product Description
This is a multipack of the GWR O30 "no chassis" N-gauge / 2mmFS model that I uploaded a long time ago, with no changes at all except a repair to the mesh (and I daresay Shapeways will have done much the same repair to the original when I uploaded it anyway). These bodies are meant to fit onto a 10' wb steel solebar chassis kit. The following instructions assume you are using a Peco 10'wb steel solebar chassis kit and are _probably_ the same as I wrote before but please check in case the wording is different and one makes more sense to you than the other.
To fit these bodies to the Peco chassis, cut the four bits off the chassis that have the buffers on them. Do it square and carefully so that you keep the buffers available as spares to glue on in case you break the ones off the 3D print. File the end of the chassis if necessary to fit between the headstocks on the 3D print. Then cut off and file flat the raised parts on top of the chassis. Next, find the bits of the solebar that you will need to cut out so that the door posts and the end of the diagonal bracing on the 3D print have somewhere to go when you bring them together. Cut them out carefully. If it won't slip on easily, stop and cut or file a bit more off the solebars, otherwise you will break the fine parts of the print and that makes it hard to get a neat result. When it fits nicely, fit the chassis couplings as described in the chassis kit instructions, but cut off the part of the coupling retainer that would sit above the flat surface of the chassis. I suggest you thoroughly clean, smooth, and paint the body before commiting it to the chassis with glue. Use a dark undercoat (black india ink is ideal) to  stop light shining through your paints on a brightly lit layout.  A small amount of PVA glue is probably best.
Offered straight for sale without further test. Please save your money and buy the single model first, to try it, if you are in any doubt about fitting it to your chosen type of chassis.
