Product Description
The Nemesis NXT is a sport-class kit-built aircraft designed for air racing. It was designed by Nemesis Air Racing's president Jon Sharp, as a follow-on to the highly successful Sharp Nemesis. It is a single place, single engine, low wing, retractable gear kit aircraft. As designed, the aircraft is powered by a Lycoming TIO-540-NXT "Thunderbolt" six-cylinder engine. This 1:72 scale model was created on request. I first saw this aircraft in a famous video where racing pilot Kevin Eldredge had a motor come apart in flight during a trial run, where he brought the propeller-less aircraft back to safety. This model looks built for speed, as it was originally designed. It was also a challenge to build, as very little reference material was available, forcing me to rely much more on stock photos of different builds in flight and on the deck. Enjoy!
