H0e – 009 Type 23 Garratt Tram
3.5 mm scale
Designed to print in White Natural Versatile Plastic or PA12 Plastic
Note This is the cab only further prints of the power unit bogies will be required.
An interesting if somewhat large addition to most railways is this type 23 Garratt tram engine. A pair of these were built for the Belgian NMVB which operated a 1000mm gauge tramway network. They were built by St.Léonard, Liège in 1929 to hall goods traffic.
The size of the original when scaled down to 4mm seemed too large to work with 009 gauge so this print is at 3.5mm scale (HOe / 1:86 scale) which works better with 9mm 009 track.
It is printed in two parts the cab section and the two power unit motor bogies, both will need to be ordered to complete the model, I have designed it to use the Kato 11-110 chassis in both power units.
