SCX24 Toyota Hilux Rear Bumper with Hinge-Mount

This is a new and improved Marlin Crawler style wraparound rear bumper with hinge mount for the AMT 1:20 scale Toyota 4x4 Pickup model when used as a hard body for the Axial SCX24. The mount attaches to the rear of the frame rails, and holes are included to attach the bumper as the hinge pivot point. The mount provides an extra 3 cm of length to the frame so that the Toyota pickup body swings up and out of the way when open without hitting the back tires. The hinge mechanism also has two sets of holes on the bumper to accomodate mounting your body at two differnt heights: with the bed either 3.5 or  6.5mm above the frame rails. This is the perfect mounting solution for the Toyota body for those who want to keep the bed intact for scale looks. It also provides a functional, frame mounted bumper that can stand up to rough terrain.

The bumper attaches to the bed with either 2 or 4 screws (two is sufficient, but 4 holes are provided).  You will need 8 6mm M1.3 bolts (not included), 2 to attach the mount to the frame, 2 to attach the body to the mount, and 2 for the hinge mechanism. These are the same type commonly included with the SCX24. The two components are printed with a connecting sprue which will need to be removed prior to assembly.

Please note: the stock rear shock mounts will not fit when this bumper mount is installed as the space between the frame rails and the body will be too narrow. This works best when shocks are mounted to the frame rails or with modified shock mounts.
