Product Description
Behold! The Piper Cherokee! A staple of general aviation, the Piper Cherokee is an all-around excellent aircraft for personal ownership, flight training and air taxi. The PA-28 family of aircraft are all-metal, unpressurized, single-engine, piston-powered airplanes with low-mounted wings and tricycle landing gear. They have a single door on the copilot side, which is entered by stepping on the wing.
I began designing this in CAD around January 2016, but the rush with senior year of college shelved this project until April. Input from various members of the Piper flying community was applied as fine-tuned details on the model. I had ready access to a PA-28R-201 Arrow so the final detailing as far as engine layout and antennae configuration are based on that (N542PU). The airframe itself is close to that of a PA-28-140, hence why the design is named such. Additional variants will be added in the future.
