Product Description
The Circogonia pendant is inspired by a tile from Alim Pasht-Han's ARURA vase created for the Leuchtenburg Porzellanwelten (Porcelain Worlds) museum in Seitenroda, Germany. Circogonia was originally described and drawn by Ernst Haeckel in his book 'Kunstformen der Natur.' Circogonia is a perfectly icosahedral Radiolarian. The hole in the center of the shell is its 'mouth' allowing the creature's amoeboid fingers to slither out and snare dinner.
I created the Circogonia pendant at the request of the Leuchtenburg to help promote the collections of the museum.the pendant is available at the museum shop and here at Shapeways.
The pendant does not ship from Shapeways with a chain. The loop to insert the chain has an internal dimension of 4mm by 6mm.
