This 3D printed model includes the nucleosome core particle in complex with a double-stranded DAN fragment created based on the model by Luger et al (PDB ID: 1AOI).
The double-stranded DNA is colored in red and blue. The proteins of the nucleosome core particle is colored in various pastel colors.
One side of the 3D model has a slight engraved surface for gluing a 1 cm diameter magnet to the back. This magnet can be use on a white board or other metal surfaces.
For more introductory description of nucleosomes, please see the Molecule of the Month from Protein Data Bank by David Goodsell (https://pdb101.rcsb.org/motm/7).
Note:- This is intended for display and is not a toy for children.
- Due to the detailed features, the printed model is relatively fragile, please use it with care (don’t drop it!).
- The 1 cm disc magnet is not included with the printing. Please purchase the magnets separately and glue in with epoxy or similar adhesive.
