Product Description
This is an N-scale (1:160) model of a 32’ Heavy Duty Double-Offset Tandem Folding Disc Harrow. It is modelled to represent a set of harrows parked in a barn yard.
This beautifully detailed model is based on pictures & manufacturers data sheets, and is influenced by the AMCO F15 line of harrows. The prototype offers 100% tillage across the entire width, and is built with heavy duty bearings, gangs and blades to survive the worst possible punishment in the field.
Our model features correct folding and lifting geometry, and correct positioning of the wing lift cylinders, as well as many other semi-scale details. Because of the thickness of real life blades scales down to less than half as thick as a piece of paper, the blades are thicker than scale, meaning our model has less blades than the prototype. It was a compromise we unfortunately had to make.
This model is printed in the “Parked” position. This means that the wings are folded up, the wing wheels are raised (allowing gravity to hold them against the wings) and the main wheels are resting on the ground along with the main disc gangs, the hitch is level and the jackleg is extended and in position on the tongue.
Designers Note: This is a finely detailed, miniature scale model. It is small, delicate and fragile. It is my recommendation that this model not be treated as a toy.
