Don't buy this 4 inch Planar Foot, unless you don't mind that its fragile. Specifically, the toes are very small. Because they are so small, they may not print perfectly, or may break easily. You can see an example of the "print" here. I banged it around a bit, so you can see that the tips of a couple toes are gone. But overall, the item still looks good.
You should notice that the design of the bones are slightly stylized. Thats why its called a Planar Foot. The planes have been shaped to be a bit more obvious. Specifically, you can get an easy sense of how all the small bones 'add up' to create the curvature of the top of the foot.
This design was created to help an artist understand the main movements and forms of the foot. But many people interested in medicine, will also find this a useful model to study.
For durability, consider purchasing one of the larger versions of this foot.
Note: If you look carefully, many of the bones have small connecting 'rods' in the shape of cylinders. Without this, the overall form would be too fragile and fall apart. After all, foot bones are normally held together by things like muscles, tendons, skin, etc. But since this is all about the bones, this seemed like a workable solution.
