Product Description
Epinephrine is a hormone and neurotransmitter, also known as adrenaline. Popularly known as the “flight or fight” hormone, epinephrine is secreted by the adrenal glands. Epinephrine increases your heart rate, constricts blood vessels, and dilates air passages. Epinephrine is a drug used for several emergency conditions, especially anaphylactic shock caused by allergic reactions to bee and wasp stings. It is also used to treat cardiac arrest. In movies, it is the drug one sometimes sees being injected directly into the heart. The main physiological stimulus to epinephrine secretion in the body is exercise. When you are “pumped” the adrenaline is flowing. Adrenaline is associated with strength and a rush of energy. Formula: C9H13NO3
