CONVERION KATO TRUCKS ON ATLAS SD35

This part is a new bolster to allow you to fit Kato Flexi-coil trucks under the Atlas SD35. 

Steps to do this conversion.

1. Scrape the paint away from the underside of the Atlas bolster at the corners where the new part will be glued in place. Vertical surface and horzontal surface. You do not need to remove the paint from  the top or even the entire bolster. Just at the inside corners. Make sure the inside corners are sharp. No obstructions.

2. Glue the part in place using CA. Orientation is that the pin should be facing down. Make sure the legs are flat up against the underside of the existing bolster. Let the CA fully cure.

3. Using a dremel cutoff wheel, cut the Atlas bolster out leaving the shelf where the new bolster is sitting on. 

4. After cutting the exisitng bolster out, clean up the surface of your cut to be flush with the new bolster legs. Use a file or a grinder. Whatever you are comfortable with.

You can now install the Kato trucks using the Kato gear cover. The drive shaft will not be inline with the motor anymore. The drive shaft will have a downward angle from the motor to the worm gear.
