Product Description
The RV Peterl was comissioned in 2003 as Seaway Petrel. Later she was renamed under new owners as Agercy Petrel and Seven Petrel. In 2016 the Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen bought the Petrel and rebuild her as deepsea research vessel. The Petrel was the only private owned ship which is able to explore depths up to 6.000m.
On their exeditions the Petrel discovered many historic important wrecks, mostly WW II warships like the japanese battleships Musashi, Hiei, Fuso and Yamashiro, the carriers Kaga and Akagi, the cruisers Jintsu, Furutaka, Maya, Mogami and Chokai, also several japanese destroyers. Many US Ships were found, the cruisers USS Indianapolis, Helena and Juneau, the carriers Lexington, Hornet and Wasp and St.Lo, also some US destroyers.
The model could be build as RV Petrel or the older versions and comes with two 20ft containers, one RIB and a small pool (for refreshing in hot areas :-) ) as deckload.
