Vergina Sun Pendant Jewelry Symbol

The Vergina Sun (also called "Star of Vergina") is a symbol which has been widely used by the Ancient Greeks. Although the Vergina Sun is a symbol of all Greece, it became famous because of the Macedonians particulary, who used it as a symbol of the dynasty Argead from the Kingdom of Macedonia. The Vergina Sun symbol, consists of 16 rays around a circle: the four main rays represent the four elements of nature, Earth - Water - Fire - Air and the remaining 12 rays represent the 12 gods of Olympus.
