Festiniog Railway Van No. 96 in 5.5mm Scale 12mm Gauge
The Festiniog Railway had a wide range of wagons. Allegedly some open wagons were later converted into covered vans. This model is similar to van No. 154 that still exists on the FR today.
Requires a card roof and two short lengths of brass wire for the door handles. Pre 'drilled' holes are included.
Designed to be used with Ø8 wheels on 20mm long axles. I use '6 Spoke Curved' wheels with Ø1.5mm × 20mm axles provided by KB Scale. Also designed to use same the chopper couplings as provided in the wagon kits from Malcolm Savage Models.
*Note that the pre production model shown was printed in Shapeways' Frosted Detail material which is no longer available. Frosted Ultra Detail should provide a crisper detailed model than the one shown.
