This is called a boom stand, and is used as a support for the arm of equipment that is being transported on a trailer like a lowboy. I designed it with small catch 'feet' on the front of the legs that can help hold it in place, and it is set at a scale 3 feet wide so it should sit on most lowboy crossbars between the rear wheels, or on the rear decking. The arm itself can be raised or lowered, and I'd suggest a small hole drilled in the middle with a small diameter metal pin in place to hold it up, or simply glue it in place.
