Having seen the success of Vaecors Weapon System's modified Mk1 and Mk5, Olympiadica Manufacturing initially failed to improve their own designs. They soon went into bankruptcy due to the continued audits, fines, and their own inability to adjust to the changing marked.
The company was quickly snatched up for pocket change and the new owners immediately went to work updating the old designs.
Their first new design incorporates a High Yield Laser, although highly effective against armour it has limited uses without a large dedicated generator, which the 04 model was not designed to carry. To backup the laser they included a Heavy Autocannon. Due to the increased power usage they removed the forward defense machine gun.
