Product Description
Medieval Warheads; Swallowtail, Forker, Firecage, Loaded Firecage,Blade, Broadhead, Long Bodkin, Medium Bodkin, Bodkin (standard issue) and barbed. The Swallowtail, forker and broadhead were used also for game hunting.

At the famous Battle of Crecy, England won a decisive victory in the 100 years war with France because of these weapons along with the introduction of new techniques to use powerful longbows outside of the range of the French crossbows and short bows.

The Bodkins especially would penetrate all chain mail armors and most steel armor. The standard bodkin whose history dates into Roman times would be usually the most. Mostly naked shafts would be kept in archers quivers because many warheads were for specialty targets and some would damage the fletchings as they were removed.

The swallow- tail and forkers were meant for bloody mayhem to cause pain in horses and dismount riders.

The forker might have been used to cut taught ropes used on engines of war.

The Firecage Warhead was shot with a cage of charcoal embers and coal. They could be used with oil soaked rags, hay or other smoldering substances. They were used for siege harassment.

In periods of war steel points were as valuable as currency and could be used as such.

Except for the arrowheads used also for hunting and mayhem, none of them were glued, tied, pinned or otherwise fastened to their shafts. They were intended to remain in the victum.
