Product Description
One set of Dinorwic Quarry wagon wheel centres in 7/8" scale (1:13.7), also known as SE or 7/8n2 scale.
These are intended for use with Slaters wheelsets part number 2212HUD 1' 0" Hudson 4 Hole Disk Narrow Gauge Wagon Wheel. Note that ready-made wheelsets with steel tyres are available from Model Earth Design. I created these centres at a time when Model Earth Dessign had no wheelsets available and I had some spare Slaters Hudson wheelsets.
Remove the original Slater's wheels from the axle (they are a push fit). Use a piercing saw and a punch to remove the original wheel centres. Push the new centre into the tyre from the back, ensuring it is the cottect way round – there is a step at the front (outside) edge – and replace the assembled wheel onto the axle,
These are an extremely tight fit into the tyre. A bench vice or similar is recommended. They are a tight press fit onto the 1/8" axle.
