1800 turrets assy

Triple Turret set of 3 for 1/1800 model of fictitious German Battleship H-1940A, interpreted from the H plan drawings. This could be interpreted as 420mm, 450mm, 470mm cannons - they are a little oversized so as not to be too fragile at this scale. The design closely follows the look of the Bismarck/ Tirpitz turrets.
The H Plan Battleship designs were explorations of what would be needed to counter Allied threats, with the final H44 concept being supposedly designed to be virtually impervious to any weapons the allies had; it was enormous and impractical. The H-1940A was a more realistic goal, and on intended to be on par with Iowa-class American battleships
