Product Description
The de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver is a single-engined high-wing propeller-driven short takeoff and landing (STOL) aircraft developed and manufactured by de Havilland Canada. It has been primarily operated as a bush plane and has been used for a wide variety of utility roles, such as cargo and passenger hauling, aerial application (crop dusting and aerial topdressing), and civil aviation duties. The Beaver has become one of the more iconic aircraft to have been produced in Canada.
This 1:200 scale model was created on request. The original variant requested with the floatplane version which is also for sale, but the landplane variant with the fixed gear was requested afterwards. The "cartoonishly large" wheels and struts are not to true 1:200 scale due to their tendency to snap during cleaning. The larger diameter enables a better print and less headache for both you and I. Usually I will start with a larger scale model, and accept reductions in scale based on requests but I'm starting small with this model to test out scaling up a model from it's original size. Enjoy!
