Product Description
This is a roof for an American-style wood water tank, of the type used on branchlines and narrow-gauge railroads during the steam era. It's suitable for smaller tanks in O scale (e.g. On30) or S scale.
This lid is designed to fit over the 'lip' on the top of a Pringles container, which would be used to form the tank itself. It's designed to be held on by friction. This allows it to be removable, should there be some sort of mechanism in the tank which may need future attention.
To finish the roof, you can just paint it. If you're after a 'tarpaper' finish, strips of masking tape can be built up over each of the roof's eight sections.
