*** WHAT THIS IS *** This is a replica of a non-Rallye dash tachometer, as used in some 1968-1970 B-body Mopar (Dodge and Plymouth) muscle cars. NOT a perfect replica; the faceplate has two holes in the front to accommodate a pretty standard and cheap 8,000 RPM tach that's pretty common online.
*** DONOR TACHS *** You will need one of these $8-10 tachs from Amazon to hold the whole thing together. They're all the same unit; I personally use the first one - the other two are references if the first one becomes unavailable. Simply pry apart the front cover (be careful not to crack the glass), undo the screws at the back, and pull it out of its case:
*** NOTE *** You will have to paint the front plate of my 3D printed tach if you want it to look right. I finished mine with Mr. Surfacer primer (though any auto enamel primer should work), followed by Dupli-Color Flat Black Engine Enamel. The lettering was painted super-carefully with Sharpie-brand oil paint pens - white and orange. Yes, you will have to do this part yourself.
