A truckbed for your SCX24 C10! Give your C10 some actual cargo-hauling capacity! Printed in matte black PA12, the texture gives this truckbed the look of a spray-in bed liner.
This design came about after my 2-year-old son was not impressed by the SCX24 C10's lackluster cargo-hauling capabilities. He didn't care that the little truck was extremely capable for its size and could climb up and over obstacles, or recover itself after being flipped over on its side, or that it has such a huge amount of aftermarket support and upgrades. No, he just wanted to put acorns and rocks in the bed. What a sad bed it was. It didn't matter what he put inside, they all just fell out as soon as the truck started moving.
So I set out to make things right and now I want to share that solution with you!
Features!
Required materials that are not included:
- 6 M1.4 x 5mm screws (these are the same size as the stock short screws that the SCX24 comes with - you will need 16 total screws but 10 are reused from the stock configuration).
- 4 to install the light bar to the lightbar mounts (all 4 can be reused from the stock truck bed configuration).
- 4 to install the rear bumper to the truck bed mounts (all 4 can be reused from stock truck bed configuration).
- 4 to install the truck bed mounts to the truck bed (2 can be reused from the stock truck bed configuration).
- 4 to install the light bar mounts.
2 M1.4 x 8mm screws (these are the same size as the stock long screws that the SCX24 comes with) for installing the truck bed mounts to the C10 hinge mounts.
If you have purchased other mods, chances are that you probably have a few of these screws lying around. If not, they are not too difficult or expensive to find online.
Installation:
- You will need to mount your shocks to the truck frame. You can use the included frame support bar as a backing for the shocks mounting.
- You will need to reposition your battery to a different location either at the front of the chassis or in the cab as the truckbed will take up all of the space behind the cab. You can use the TRSH PNDA R/C front battery/esc tray *coming soon!* or any other battery and esc relocation mod.
- You will also need to cut out the stock truck bed, leaving the lip of the edges to hold this truck bed in place.
