The Luger P08 is 9x19mm Parabellum semi-automatic pistol designed by Georg J. Luger. This weapon is an improvement of the Borchardt.
The Luger P08 is one of the most famous weapon of WWI and WWII. It have decline in many version, as the Luger artillery with a 7.9inch barrel.

One of the first semi-automatic pistol, the Luger was designed to use a toggle-lock action, which uses a jointed arm to lock, as opposed to the slide actions of almost every other semi-automatic pistol.

Captured Lugers were much prized by Allied soldiers during both of the world wars as war trophies.However, during World War II, German soldiers were known sometimes use a discarded Luger pistol to lure unsuspecting trophy hunters, rigging the pistols to detonate land mines or hidden booby trap when disturbed. Word also spread of accidental discharges and deaths of Allied troops by users unfamiliar with the P08 and its safety mechanisms, as well as stories circulating that U.S. soldiers captured while in possession of German weapons were being summarily executed. These experiences slowed, but never halted the practice of finding a much-desired Luger pistol as a war trophy or to barter with other servicemen
