Product Description
Japan received several german submarines as war booty after WWI. One of them was the type UE II  Submarine Minelayer U-125. Based on this design, the Imperial Japanese Navy received in the mid 1920´s the four Submarine Minelayers (Kirai-Sen) of the I-21 Class. The I-21 Class were the only minelaying submarines of the IJN. Later this boats were renamed as I-121 to I-124. During WW II this submarines served on patrol duties, refuelling seaplanes and supplying isolated islands. I-121 survived the war and was scuttled in 1946.
