A gnome for DnD.
I play her as a Druid/Paladin.
Her name is Hazel. Her tribe was lost in a tornado when she was young. She wandered the forests, starving and alone until she found a giant sprouted acorn. The sprout pointed her in the direction of a magical grove where all kinds of nut trees grow. She lived there alone, surviving off nuts for over 50 years. Being alone for so long led her to start talking to trees and nuts as if they were her family. She's very friendly, but her sense of what constitutes being sentient is a little off. Her best friends are her giant acorn (spellcasting focus), a black walnut (shield), hickory nut (chest plate), and chestnut (morningstar). She's very protective of them.
One day the acorn sprout started pointing in another direction and she left her grove on a quest.
