Product Description
This coupler is loosely based on the Penn pivoted pilot coupler illustrated in the 1912 Locomotive Dictionary/cyclopedia.  The shank is elongeted to 24" from the back of the coupler head to allow mounting on various equipment.  The locking pin is not included because it is too thin for printing in steel.   Contact me for a  drawing of the locking pin.

This coupler knuckle includes a slot and hole to accommodate link and pin couplings.  This was a common feature until about 1905.

The knuckle pin hole is cast undersize to allow easier printing of this model.   The prototype pin was 1.375" diameter.   Drill the hole to this size in your scale and machine a simple pin to mount the knuckle.  The split extended boss at the bottom of the coupler head is for a cotter to hold the pin down.
