Ayahuasca Star 2" Pendant

This beautiful pendant is based upon a hand sewn design that was gifted to a friend of mine directly by one of the members of the Shipibo tribe in the Amazon in Peru.  It resembles a Sri Yantra but has only 6 triangles instead of 9.  This corresponds nicely to the fact that the Shipibo are guardians and caretakers of the Ayahuasca plants and sacred ceremonies in Peru.  Ayahuasca is a powerful entheogenic medicine for shamanic journeying and vision questing.  In Ayahuasca, there is a balance between plants that contain DMT (N,N-Dimethyltryptamine) and plants that are MAOIs  (monoamine oxidase inhibitors).  Monoamine oxidase is an enzyme that breaks down DMT so to have an Ayahuasca experience requires a careful balance of both.  That careful balance is embodied in this perfectly balanced combination of six overlapping triangles.    2 x 0.06 x 2.16 inches
