White Wave Pendant

Designed by Maria Martimo — Paris, France, for Design Museum's Rapid Jewelry Design Competition

From the designer: "The white stripes represent the movement of the waves that reflect the idea of the captured time or a special moment in the past. This piece of jewellery was designed to add a touch of the modernity and the pure romance to any outfit. I have been developing this technique for a past year first starting with cutting the 0,5 cm strips out of paper and then folding and gluing them into harmonious shapes. This was the first time that I modelled the strips directly using 3D software."
